Christian education has always been a top priority at The Lutheran Church of the Triune God in response to our Lord's Word, "My sheep hear My voice," and, "If you love Me you will keep My Word."
Sunday School and Bible Classes are held for all age groups, beginning at the age of 3 years, every Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m., staffed by qualified and dedicated teachers.
Opportunities for Christian education are available also during the week. Included in these are:
Wednesday Morning Bible Class
Confirmation Classes
Vacation Bible School
Adult Information Class
Pre-Marriage Class
The Pastor leads a Bible study on subjects selected by those in attendance. The classes are informal with ample time for questions and discussion. The Bible Class meets in the Fireside Room at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday mornings, September through May. Coffee and rolls are served by class members.
This is a three-year program designed to lead young people to a public reaffirmation of their Baptismal vows. To enter the first-year class, the student must be in at least the 7th Grade. Class is held every week during the school year, 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. It is expected that the students attend these classes regularly and faithfully in preparation for Confirmation.
Conducted annually, for one week, during the summer (usually in June) for the children of the congregation, their friends, and children in the neighborhood (age 3 years through the 6th grade). Special material is chosen and consideration given to making this a time of rewarding, exciting, and fun Christian learning and fellowship. Specific dates are publicized as soon as they are chosen.
A 12 to 14 week course held periodically for non-members who wish to learn about the doctrines of the Lutheran Church (as well as for members who want to review our Lutheran Church's teachings). Upon completion of this course, anyone who declares to be of the same belief and confession is invited to become a communicant member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and this congregation.
Every couple planning to be married in our congregation is required to attend these classes. They are offered at least twice a year.
